12V RV Water Pressure Booster Pump – Self Priming, 50psi, 4gpm On Demand Pump for Kitchen, Bathroom, Garden, Marine & Boats

Update: when the pressure gets too low on the input side, the pump flips on for a second & then off every so often. Turning on increases pressure on the output side by a lot since the faucet is closed. In my case that causes a leak near the pump. My water source is a 3 gallon bottle. When the water got down to the bottom inch or two I started seeing this problem. Think i need a kill switch so I can disable the pump if I’m not ready to refill the water bottle—-Works well. The instructions that come with the pump don’t really tell you some important info if you haven’t setup a pump like this before. My tips: 1.) There are red plugs in the in/out ports. Remove the red rubber plugs. 2.) The pump will only work if it has water in it. If you set this pump up where it’s difficult to add water (priming) to the pump before starting you’re just going to cause yourself headaches. Best case you position the pump so the tube going into the pump brings water from above or you can move the tube to that position. Even better if your water source sits above the pump (but it’s not required). 3.) If you orient the pump so the longest side is pointed at your feet and the rubber mounting feet are away from you, the inlet side of the pump is on the right. The outlet is on the left.
